The City of North Myrtle Beach and the NMB Aquatic and Fitness Center will be hosting the 7th Annual Irish Italian International Festival on Saturday, September 25, 2010.  The one day rain or shine event brings approximately 20,000 to celebrate different cultures.  The festival begins at 10:00 am and continues until 4:00 pm on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach; featuring food from local restaurants, two stages of live entertainment, street performers, art & craft vendors, and dance groups all surrounding an Irish Italian International theme. Restaurants will compete for the title of Best Entrée, Best Decorated, and Best Dessert.

Festival goers can join in the friendly competitions that day through a spaghetti sauce competition!  Bring your homemade spaghetti sauce to compete for the title of "Best Spaghetti Sauce".     Click here for more details and guidelines .

ADMISSION IS FREE.  Proceeds from the festival benefit the North Myrtle Beach Friends of the Library. For over 20 years they have been dedicated to supporting and enhancing libraries throughout South Carolina.  Construction of the new library located in North Myrtle Beach is almost complete.  Friends of the Library need your help stocking the shelves with gently-used books.  They will be selling bookbags and memberships to raise money at the festival. Check out the new library, located at 98 Hwy 17 S, North Myrtle Beach SC.

Mark your calendars for 2011, Saturday, September 24, 2011!
