North Strand Prayer & Praise Event

This ecumenical event is open to all and offers leaders from area places of worship who will pray for different aspects of our local, regional and national communities. Several praise bands, singers and others perform in between the prayers.

This is not a political event. The first Continental Congress called for a National Day of Prayer in 1775, and Congress established the National Day of Prayer as an annual event by joint resolution signed by President Truman in 1952. People from all 50 states and all theological and philosophical faiths are encouraged to join their neighbors in this ongoing, historic call to prayer.
