[ARCHIVED] AFC Offers Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course

FEBRUARY 24-28 AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION COURSE OFFERED AT NMB AQUATIC & FITNESS CENTER 
The North Myrtle Beach Aquatic & Fitness Center offers a February 24-28 American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course for people ages 15 and older. The registration deadline is February 22.
Pre-Course Swim Test Required
A mandatory pre-course swim test will be held on February 24. It includes a 300-yard continuous swim. It also includes a timed swim in which participants must swim 20 yards, surface dive to 9 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, surface again, and kick 20 yards on their back to the starting point while holding the retrieved object. Participants must also be able to tread water for two minutes using their legs only.
CPR masks will be distributed to those who pass the pre-course swim test.
Fee: AFC Member - $200, Non-Member - $225
